38^thANNUAL SANDPIPER ART FESTIVAL

Lake County Courthouse Lawn       Polson, Montana

Saturday, August 8, 2009   from 10 A.M. until 5 P.M.

Sandpiper Gallery, A Fine Arts Corporation, is a not-for-profit entity comprised of volunteer members. Our mission is to encourage and promote participation in the arts in Lake County, Montana. We provide educational opportunities through workshops, scholarships, exhibits, a library, and other resources. We believe that the inherent value of the fine arts enhances the quality of life and merits our attention.

Artists’ Regulations

• Fill out the application below.
• Submit a non-refundable application fee.  The early bird fee is $20.  It is $30 after July 1^st.  ***** Please note that two or more exhibitors intending to sell their work in the same space must register separately and each must pay the application fee.
• Members wishing to display up to three works in the Sandpiper Gallery booth pay $10.
• Artists must supply all materials needed for their display.
• The use of stakes on the courthouse lawn is NOT allowed.
• Please note any special considerations you might need and we will try to accommodate you.  Please let us know if your tent is high and needs extra clearance.
• The SAF committee will meet to jury applications April 6^th.  Notices will be sent by April 10^th.  Applications will continue to be accepted until the festival is full.
• No kits or commercially-produced items will be accepted.  No dealers, imports or bakery goods will be allowed. 
• Set-up time this year will be:

 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. on Friday evening and  7:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Saturday. 

The show hours are from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, August   8, 2009 .

All exhibitors are responsible for handling their own sales and displays.  This is an outdoor festival so provisions should be made to protect the display in case of inclement weather.  Sales books must be reconciled with the treasurer at the close of the festival.  Checkout time will be no earlier than 5:00 P.M.  Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up their individual space.  The use of stakes on the courthouse lawn is NOT allowed.

Commission on your sales due to Sandpiper Gallery is 10% for members in good standing for the six-month period prior to the Art Festival.  Our reduced commission is only one of the many advantages of being a member of Sandpiper Gallery, and will be strictly limited. 

Commissions must be paid when you check out at the end of the day.  Sandpiper Gallery is a non-profit organization run by volunteers.  The money raised during the art festival goes towards scholarships for students studying art and for maintenance of the gallery.  For additional information contact the Sandpiper Gallery at (406) 883-5956 or Margie Hendricks at (406) 883-0802. festival@sandpiperartgallery.com

Sandpiper Gallery will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of any artist’s work in connection with Sandpiper Art Festival.  This includes theft, fire, water damage or any other mishap that may occur
