The 37th annual Sandpiper Gallery Art Festival was another success.  The weather was perfect.  The traffic was steady throughout the day.  The 38th  Sandpiper Art Festival will be held Saturday, August 8,  2009, as part of Cruisin' by the Bay 2008 Car Show and other local events.

Sandpiper Art Festival, a juried show featuring original arts and crafts, is open to interested artists and crafters.  Sandpiper Art Festival is attended by thousands of people.  This festival offers you both an opportunity for sales and exposure to new, potential buyers.  Upon receipt of the attached application, two photographs and the non-refundable $35.00 application fee, your work will be evaluated by the Sandpiper Gallery jury and show committee.  Please note that two or more exhibitors intending to sell their work in the same space must register separately and each must pay the $35 application fee.  Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for your confirmation notice and for the return of your photographs. Exhibitors will be assigned a 10 X10 foot space.  No kits or commercially-produced items will be accepted.  No dealers, imports or bakery goods will be allowed. 

Set-up time this year will be:

 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. on Friday evening and

 7:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Saturday. 

The show hours are from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2009.

All exhibitors are responsible for handling their own sales and displays.  This is an outdoor festival so provisions should be made to protect the display in case of inclement weather.  Sales books must be reconciled with the treasurer at the close of the festival, and commissions will be due at that time.  Take down and checkout time will be no earlier than 5:00 P.M.  Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up their individual space.  The use of stakes on the courthouse lawn is NOT allowed.

Commissions on your sales due to Sandpiper Gallery are:

                        20% up to $5,000 in sales

                        15% for sales from $5,000 to $10,000

                        10% for sales over $10,000

Commissions must be paid when you check out at the end of the day.   Sandpiper Gallery is a non-profit organization run by volunteers.  All money raised during the art festival goes towards scholarships for students studying art and for maintenance of the gallery.
